My personal story

My journey into nutrition

As most Nutritionists do, I have a history of health issues that led me to nutrition.

I suffered through childhood with constant nausea, colds and infections, bloating, abdominal pain, and weight problems.

In my early teens I suffered from frequent migraines and headaches, I was diagnosed with fibrocystic breast disease, and my digestive issues got worse.

In my early twenties I was overweight and I was suffering from IBS.

In my early thirties I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries syndrome (PCOS). Later on I developed severe food intolerances.

I was thoroughly frustrated with the conventional medicine approach, so I started to look into influence of diet and nutrition.

I was told by my doctor that diet would have no effect but I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I believed I was eating healthy foods, following nutritional and health guidelines from books, TV, and magazines. Being naturally very curious and drawn to researching, I soon realised that my “healthy” food was making me ill.

I overcame my health problems with only nutrition, lifestyle medicine and supplements.

I learned that we are all biochemically unique and what works for one person doesn’t work for another. I healed myself by learning what works for me. I learned to listen to my body and my symptoms. I identified and addressed the root cause, and I supported the underlying imbalance instead of simply suppressing the symptoms.

I experienced first-hand the healing power of nutrition and lifestyle changes to improve my health. I wanted to get better understanding of the science of nutrition and nutritional therapy, in order to help others transform their own health.

Keen to continue learning about nutrition, I decided to enrol at the highly respected College of Naturopathic Medicine in London to study Nutrition. Following three years of studies in Biomedicine and Nutrition with clinical practice, I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist.

My health problems were the reason I qualified as a Nutritionist to be able to help others. With my combined qualification and first-hand experience, my aim is to help you support your health naturally and to restore you to best self.

I look forward to working together.

The person you see on the left side of the photo is someone who was struggling with personal trauma and coping with it through medication. As a result, I gained 16 kg and felt like I had lost control over my body and my life.

The road to recovery was not easy. I had to confront my trauma, seek therapy, and slowly wean off the medication that was causing me to gain weight. It was a difficult process, both physically and emotionally. There were days when I felt like giving up, when I felt like the weight gain was too much to bear, but I persevered.

Today, the person you see on the right side of the photo is someone who has reclaimed control over her body and her life. I have lost the 16 kg that I gained, but more importantly, I have gained a newfound sense of self-love and self-acceptance. I no longer define my worth by the number on the scale. I am strong, I am resilient, and I am proud of the progress that I have made.

I know that there are so many people out there who are struggling with their own battles – whether it’s weight gain, mental health issues, or personal trauma. I want you to know that you are not alone. It’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay to seek support, and it’s okay to take small steps towards healing. You are worthy of love, of happiness, and of a healthy body and mind.
